My first real shot at a Josh fanfic.... comments are loved and welcomed!!
This is very much a intro and me trying to explain things
Lacey sat and watched the drama unfold in front of her. Katy was being a total bitch to Josh and the rest of the crew. Lacey sighed. She was not sure how she was gonna get through this tour with Katy Perry tagging along as Josh’s girlfriend. Katy was not fond of Lacey and Lacey did not understand why. Lacey was certainly not close with Josh. She was not really close with any of the “Groband” as they had been dubbed. Lacey was a quiet unassuming individual who was the pianist for the “Groband”. Lacey had had a tough childhood and had mostly withdrawn from society. She found solace and comfort in her music.
Lacey was a Virgo, Virgos are generally observant, quiet and shy. Lacey was all of that. Lacey watched Katy scream at Josh. Why Josh put up with Katy only he would know. Lacey started playing on the piano, she played the tune of the Lion sleeps tonight. In her head she changed the lyrics so that the song went something along the lines of: “shut up Katy, just shut up Katy, no-one can sleep tonight.” “Would you quit playing that stupid song you moron” Katy yelled at Lacey. Lacey was taken aback. She glared at Katy but said nothing. Katy yelled at Lacey again “QUIT PLAYING THAT FUCKING SONG!!” Lacey quit playing the song and got up from the piano bench where she was sitting. She walked to the edge of the stage and looked at all the construction workers putting everything together for the show tomorrow. Lacey loved performing more than anything else. It made all the hard work that went into these tours seem worthwhile. Tomorrow was the first of the New Josh Groban Tour. She was a little nervous. And worried… The tour had been tense. The easy vibe was gone. Katy made January Jones look like a sweet sweet angel. Lacey had not known that was possible.
They had 2 hours before the performance, Lucia watched Lacey get ready. Lucia and all the members of Josh’s team were fascinated by Lacey. No-one could really get a read on Lacey. She never spoke much and seemed enthralled in her own world. Lucia had not liked the way Katy spoke to Lacey. She was not surprised that Lacey had not reacted. Lucia had started to think Lacey was completely oblivious to everything going on around, or else Lacey just chose not to see. The only time Lucia had seen Lacey have a genuine reaction was when they had gone to a shooting range. Lacey had just about freaked.
The performance that evening was a huge success. Lacey hugged Lucia backstage after the performance. The two woman made there way to the tour bus. For this trip the two of them would be on the same tour bus as Josh and his floosie Katy.

*authors note, i really am just playing with some ideas at the moment. please comment...*
Chapter 2
As Lucia and Lacey made there way to the tour bus they could not help but notice a ton of fans surrounding the bus. Lacey stared at them for a while, before asking Lucia “why do you think they are allowed so close? The are not normally allowed this close.” “who knows.” Lucia replied. Lacey watched the fans curiously… it looked like some of the fans had dressed as a horse. Lacey shook her head and did a double take. She knew her eyes were getting bad but really!! “Loosh look!!!” Lucia nearly died of shock when Lacey called her “Loosh”. Lacey called everyone by there full names. Heck she often called Josh Joshua. “Are my eyes deceiving me or are there some fans in a horse costume thingy???” Lacey pointed at the fans. “Wow!” Lucia said, “It really looks like that!!”. “Should we go check it out?” Lacey asked. Lucia gave Lacey a strange look. Lacey was not overly friendly at the best of times so this was a curious situation. “Sure.” Lucia replied, “how bout we go to the tour bus and change and then go see them?”. “Sounds good!” Lacey replied. The two women made there way to the tour bus. It was curious that they went to the bus together. Lucia and Lacey were more similar than either cared to admit. Lucia left Lacey in peace and Lacey respected that. Lucia never tried to make awkward conversations and that was just fine with Lacey.
Lacey stopped dead, she saw someone who looked scarily like her deceased sister
*flashback*
Lacey watched as the armed guys stormed into her family home, she hid, she did not know what to do. She watched in horror as they grabbed her Mom and pistol whipped her. She did not know what to do, so she dialed 112 on her cellphone, “please help!!” she whispered to the operator, praying the cops would come in time. The Robbers had not seen her, she was hiding behind the bar.
*flashback ends*
“LACEY!! LACEY!! Snap out of it kid!!” Lacey looked around startled. Lacey looked at the person who had spoken to her. It was Josh. Strange she could have sworn Josh was not on the bus when she got on. Josh looked at her strangely. Lacey fasinated him. She marched to the beat of her own drum and he admired that. Nothing ever seemed to phase her. She was a brilliant pianist and had been with the Groband for years. Looking at her however, Josh realized how little he actually knew about her. He sometimes got the feeling she was a little scared of him.
“OK ALL OF YOU!! SNAP OUT OF THIS DAYDREAMING THING!!” Lucia yelled. “Are we going to see the horse?” Lacey asked. “Horse what horse? What??” Josh responded thougrly confused. “Outside, there is a horse!!” Lacey said to Josh. Josh now really confused got up to make his way to the door of the bus. He stopped in his tracks, Katy had just entered the living room area of the bus, wearing…. A lacey thong and bra. Josh’s mouth dropped open, not out of hotness for her, but out of horror. He looked at the rest of the Groband. Lacey’s ears were turning very very red. Lucia just sat there in shock. Darren was staring at Lacey.
“Katy do you always go greet fans like that??” Lacey asked Katy. Katy looked at her. “What was that little girl?”. “Oh never mind, I am gonna go see the horsy person, stuff this shit!”.
“Wow!” Josh said. “I know baby I look hot right!” Katy replied. Josh shook his head, “No I mean Lacey actually spoke a full sentence in front of everyone.” Katy shook her head in disgust at his comment and made her way back to Josh’s bedroom. As she made her way to his bedroom she called out to him “Don’t be too long Joshie Woshie!!”
Lacey made her way over to the fans. She could not care if they recognized her or not, she just wanted to see the horse person costume thing. As she got closer she heard some music, it was Everyday from the HSM2 soundtrack. What the hell is going on Lacey thought. She watched as the people in the horse costume started attempting to dance at the song. NO!! She thought, it can’t be. The fans waiting were now all watching. The people in the horse costume were pretty badly co-ordinated. Lacey smiled. It was pretty funny to watch. She backed up a little and ended up backing right up into Josh. “Sorry” Lacey said. She took a step forward.
The fans all swarmed Josh wanting autographs. He gladly accommodated them. One or two of them made references to Marsh Mallows. Lacey signed a few autographs, something she very rarely did. Once the last fan had been accommodated they made there way back to the bus.
